As always, I love to share a little peek inside our upcoming issue and let you see the cover. I generally agonise over the cover image choice for weeks, but this time it was easy. This image was an obvious choice and I absolutely love it. The home it’s from is an absolute stunner – I’d happily move in there in a heartbeat!

For Volume 18 we’ve chosen SOULFUL as our theme. For those of you who have been readers for a while, I hope that you agree that every home and creative space we feature, whether in print or online, is soulful. It’s something we believe is essential for every home, work space and business. We therefore decided to dedicate an issue to it, and remind everyone that life should be lived soulfully. Everything we do should be led with creativity, care and love.

Some of you may know (from my emails) that I’ve had a very difficult year, and one thing that dealing with grief has taught me is that we shouldn’t forget the most important thing in life: our loved ones, our connections with others and our happiness. It saddens me that our world is so full of conflict and violence when we all only have one shot at this life, we should all be making it as gentle and special as we can.

Furthermore, while technology can be wonderful, we’ve all become so consumed with our phones and the digital world, and with AI becoming more and more a part of our daily lives, I feel like the soul is being lost. Real human connection, spending precious time together, making things, and putting our heart and soul into everything is of utmost importance.

While we love talking paint colours and furniture, it’s the special little touches in a home that makes it yours. No one wants a cookie cutter home, we want to surround ourselves with the things that make our hearts swell and allow us to feel good. The stories behind the homes and creative spaces in this issue all feel exactly like this, while still oozing style and inspiration for your own home.

I hope you will love it as much as I’ve loved putting it together. It will publish in October 2024, and you can either purchase a 2-issue subscription or order the individual issue.
