Midsummer is the perfect time to host a summer party. With long evenings, warm sunshine (well, hopefully!) and flowers blooming, outside is the place to gather: in your back garden, the local park, or a nearby meadow. Whether you’re planning a simple supper or a sumptuous feast, on our summer party styling pinterest board we’ve been gathering together some inspiration for styling summer parties.

Elegant simplicity works beautifully for an outdoor table setting: natural wood, a gently crumpled  tablecloth, plain white crockery, and crisp linen napkins. Decorate with freshly-picked flowers and foliage, and suspend festoon lights from the trees. Drag some chairs outside, or for a boho feel, spread rugs on the grass.

A Scandinavian-inspired menu is perfect for a summer soiree, with a strawberry layer cake as a show-stopping dessert.

For a true Midsummer vibe, weave yourself a flower crown, whether it’s a few simple strands of plaited greenery with a bloom or two, or an extravagant floral concoction. Then don your headwear and settle in to enjoy a relaxed summer feast.

Happy Midsummer!
