91 magazine launch party: part 1

Save & share

WOW! What a fantastic evening we had at Anthropologie last Wednesday night! We are still totally buzzing from it and feel hugely grateful to everyone involved and to everyone that turned out to celebrate with us.

We were very lucky to have 91 Magazine contributing photographer, Jemma Watts, documenting the evening with her camera. She captured the event so beautifully.

We literally got to work with some of our favourite brands ever on the event. Anthropologie of course, who were absolute pros at event planning, creating this beautiful bar area and making sure everything went smoothly. Our drinks were supplied by Sipsmith (best gin ever), Fever Tree and Belvoir Fruit Farms (yummy and pretty!) – all super refreshing on what was a muggy old June evening.

One of the talking points of the evening were these amazing ’91’ biscuits, made for us by Kent based patisserie Cocolicious. Inspiration for the design came from our S/S cover, featuring mimosa flowers. We just loved seeing our logo on a biscuit AND they tasted delicious! Thanks Cocolicious!

To keep our party goers entertained, we had some fabulous creative activities to get involved in! 91 contributors Laura Sawyer and Emma Mitchell hosted a paper flower making workshop – peonies and wisteria no less! And Emily Quinton held a photo styling workshop, at a table filled with beautiful flowers and Anthropologie goodies! We are going to write a separate blog post about our workshops, so look out for that soon.

We also did a short Q&A with our editor Caroline and deputy editor Laura, hosted by our brand and advertising manager Olivia. We wanted to share a little insight into the process of putting the magazine together, which we hope was interesting for our guests! We were a tad nervous speaking in front of 80 people! 😉

The rest of the evening was spent mingling, crafting, styling and generally having lots of fun! It was great for us as a team too, as some of us had never in met in person, despite working so closely together over the past 5 months! Above is Olivia (brands and advertising manager) and Kath (sub editor) getting to know each other!

We honestly could not have wished for a better night to celebrate the launch of 91 Magazine in print! The space was filled with so much creativity, chatter and laughter and was a great chance to physically meet so many of the people we know online but had never met. Thank you to everyone that came along, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Further workshop post coming soon! 😉
