Volume 17 published in April, and I can’t believe we are nearly sold out already. I really must start ordering more stock so it lasts a bit longer! It is always an agonising decision, as you never want to end up with too many copies, but equally it’s frustrating when you sell out quickly. It’s not really an option to reprint as I’d need to be ordering a significant amount again to make it worth it, so it is always a guessing game, even after all these years of doing this!
Anyway, Volume 17 certainly seems popular, and I must admit we have some really beautiful shoots in this issue. We were lucky enough that a couple of our photographers were travelling to Europe while we were putting this issue together and we were able to capture some stunning spaces in both France and Denmark. From these, along with one of our UK shoots, there were lots of extra shots that I couldn’t fit in the magazine but that I loved, so I thought I’d share with you here…Â
Above is the Danish home of Christina Krabbe, known as @glimtvist on Instagram. This home was also our cover star, shot by photographer Mark Newton. I love Christina’s use of colour in her home, and the glimpse of playfulness in how she decorates.Â
While Mark was in Denmark he also photographed the beautiful Copenhagen-based studio space of textiles designer Freja Lowe. Effortlessly chic, I think you’ll agree. Freja has since moved out of this studio as she’s relocated to the countryside, so it’s lovely that we were able to capture it before she left.Â
Back here in the UK, it was in mid-October that myself and photographer Jemma Watts travelled down to Kent to shoot the home and studio of florist Graeme Corbett AKA Bloom and Burn. Graeme’s barn conversion home was small but perfectly formed and exquisitely decorated, while his studio has immeasurable amounts of rustic charm, filled with beautiful blooms that popped against the weathered walls.
Finally, the dreamy French home of Stephanie Surply was photographed by Nat Aubry, and pretty much encapsulates modern rustic style. I know we are all wishing our homes could be this uncluttered and minimal while still feeling warm and inviting!
These, along with many other beautiful creative spaces, feature in our latest edition, but as I said, stock is running low already, so pop to our shop to grab a copy either in print or the digital version. You can also find our list of 91 Magazine stockists across the UK and internationally as you may be able to pick it up locally.
